Visitor programme
The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust receives numerous requests for clinical and educational visits. Whilst we welcome appropriate applications from visitors, there are a limited number of such opportunities available at the Trust. Visitors should expect to apply up to a year before any potential visit.
Applicants should note that visits made to the Trust are not opportunities for training and skill development in the patient areas. Visitors may not participate in direct or indirect patient care or management.
Applications
Applications should be received at least
six months before the date of any potential visit and directed to:
Anna Orlowska
Email:
anna.orlowska@rmh.nhs.ukTel: 020 7808 2900
The following information must be submitted on application. Visits will not be discussed until the following information is received.
- A letter outlining the purpose of the visit
- Curriculum vitae
- A list of clear and comprehensive learning objectives
- Confirmation that a funding source is available.
Application is no guarantee that a visit may take place.
Language Capability
All visitors must be fluent in English.
Fees
Each programme is designed to reflect his or her learning objectives. All visits are individually planned and fees charged accordingly. These should be paid prior to the arrival of the visitor.
Overseas students
The Royal Marsden School of Cancer Nursing and Rehabilitation welcomes international students. However, there are a number of issues that you will need to consider.
It is important to note that not all of our programmes will be appropriate to overseas visitors; we would strongly advise you to discuss your learning needs with us before making an application.
You will need to think about funding of course fees, travel and living costs. Before we process any application, we will need to know that you have the funding available for your visit.
If you intend to work, you will need to obtain registration in the UK with the Nursing and Midwifery Council for nurses or the Health Professions Council for allied health professionals.
