Students at Farnborough Hill have raised more than £1,000 for The Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign, by hosting a highly entertaining Talent Show.

Performers from Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 presented a range of acts, including dancers, singers, comedians and even a human pyramid.

The driving force behind the event was Michaela Corper, who with her friends from classroom IVB (4B) worked tirelessly to pull the night’s entertainment together.

Clare Duffin, Development Director said: “Our students are extremely proactive when it comes to charity initiatives, but even by their high standards, this event was a huge success and immensely enjoyable.”

Agnes Mendes, Schools Liaison Officer for The Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign, said the Talent Show was a brilliant fundraising idea.

“What a fantastic way to put the students’ incredible talents to great use and I’m sure everyone involved, from the performers to the audience, had an amazing night.

“The evening was a huge success and the money raised will go towards helping other young people with cancer, through the major redevelopment of The Royal Marsden’s Children’s and Teenage Cancer Unit.”
