A football fan from Thornton Heath has organised a charity football match on Sunday 7 September to raise money for The Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign.

Lee Hurley’s father was treated at the specialist cancer hospital and Lee (21) said: “Without the incredible staff at The Royal Marsden my dad would not be here, so hosting this charity football match is the least I can do for such a great place.”

The football match between 21 of Lee’s football-mad friends will form the centre point of a fantastic day’s activities for all the family, including stalls, a raffle, a bouncy castle and face painting.

Lee said: “We want to see as many people as possible coming along to enjoy the day and to support The Royal Marsden.”

The charity event will be held at Imperial Fields in Surrey, doors open at 12.30 with the football match kicking off at 3pm. Tickets are £8 for adults and £4 for children.
